Meet Ashita, a 12th class student from Modern Barakhamba Road.
Ashita always yearned to do her undergraduate studies in Economics from world’s top university. After scoring a moderate 1950 on SAT, she thought that it would be impossible for her to pursue her dream. She even dropped her plan on taking SAT subject tests as she thought that SAT score of 1950 could no way land her in top school. But still she wanted to have faith in her and in order to realize her dream; she started looking for a right Professional advisor. She visited many places and she was told only one thing:
“You need to improve your SAT scores and you don’t even have SAT subject tests. You need to retake your SAT 1 for sure and probably take SAT 2 also. There is no way you can get admitted to top universities.”
It was a little too much for a class 12th student as she was busy with her school curriculum so obviously she was not very upbeat with this suggestion. While searching her way she contacted Mnemonic for an honest advice on her admissions. After talking to her we realized that she really wanted to do something big in her career. Although it was challenging but we knew how important is this for her. We motivated her and encouraged her to apply with the existing scores without burdening her of retaking the SAT. We love to work hard and accept challenges.
Our experts at Mnemonic started counseling her and shortlisted universities where she can apply. We shortlisted 9 universities for her including:
- University of Chicago (#3 in world for Economics)
- University of California Berkeley (#7 in world for Economics)
- NYU (#12 in world for Economics)
- University of California LA (#14 in world for Economics)
- Duke University (#25 in world for Economics)
- Boston University (#38 in world for Economics)
It is always a dream for Ashita to get admit from these highly ranked and reputed universities.
Our meticulous guidance throughout the application process helped her to get offers from UC Berkeley, NYU, UCLA, Boston and 3 others. Although she missed UChicago very narrowly, she is extremely happy to get admitted to UC Berkeley among others.
So admission to UC Berkeley:
- SAT 1950
- NO SAT Subject Tests
- NO AP exams
At Mnemonic, we accept you as you are and work hard to give you your dream admission. A top student with perfect scores will surely get into top university, but we feel proud when we work hard to give students what they dream of.
